Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American advisor to the political process, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. She is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson for US Department of State (2013-15) and as the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was a political contributor to CNN between 2017-2020. Psaki began her career in 2001, as a political contributor for CNN. She worked on campaign for re-election of Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki was John Kerry's press secretary deputy in 2004. Psaki was also the communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, as well as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 to the year 2006. Psaki was appointed the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 election campaign. 20 February 2013 Psaki became spokesperson for the United States Department of State. [20] Her hiring in the Department of State fueled speculation that she would succeed White House Press Secretary Jay Carney as he left for the White House,[21] but, on May 30, 2014 it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. In 2015, she was recalled to the White House as communications director and stayed through the end of the Obama administration.
